Day 26: Buffalo Wild Wings

It’s my Birthday Month!  And I’m taking advantage of all the birthday deals available to me by attempting to get one birthday deal every day.  Please read more about my mission in my “About” page.  On we go!!

Day:  26bww1
Business:  Buffalo Wild Wings
Offer:  Free Snack Size Wings
Via:  Printed email message from Buffalo Wild Wings Buffalo Circle

Buffalo Wild Wings is one the premiere restaurant venues to catch any kind of televised sporting event, from UFC programming and Blazer basketball gaming action to the weekend showcase of college and NFL football.  It is a place that can accommodate large parties, a place where you can cheer yourself hoarse and a place to hang out late at night when other places close down.  It is also a place that is suitable for families, with a kids menu, little crown hats and free interactive game devices that you can play right from your table.

For the birthday celebrant, members of the Buffalo Circle used to receive a free chocolate fudge cake dessert with vanilla ice cream.  They’ve gone away from this treat and now reward members with a snack size portion of traditional or boneless wings, all with no  purchase requirements or other strings attached.

I went in on a Monday late night with some friends, taking in their late night happy hour (starts at 9pm).  After the waiter delivered a round of waters, he took our orders and I gave him the printed email certificate for my free wings.  With a choice of either traditional or boneless wings, I went with the latter and paired it with the teriyaki sauce.  Our orders came in a timely fashion, and when I received mine I counted a total of eight boneless wings for their snack size bowl.  I also received  a small portion of carrots sticks with ranch dip (you can request 50/50 carrot/celery), while a pile of napkins was placed in the center of the table for our group.

My boneless wings were okay, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the teriyaki sauce that I ordered with them.  Next time I’ll probably opt for the honey BBQ or maybe the Garlic Parmesan– they have over 20 sauce and dry rub combinations available.  At $8.29 for the snack size portion, the wings seem a little high for the regular price, but having the birthday coupon sure helps!  My waiter already took the coupon away when I originally placed my order so when he returned with our split checks mine was at a zero balance.

The birthday offer is valid at all nine locations in the Portland – Vancouver area, and can be redeemed at any time during open hours.  Buffalo Wild Wings will send the birthday email about a week before your birthday and you’ll have 14 days from the date sent to use it.  No other purchase is necessary, making this birthday offer a definite treat!
